A Cedar Rapids native, Tia Heires earned her bachelor’s degree in Asian Languages and Literature with a focus in Japanese from the University of Iowa. After college, she began her career in insurance claims, later becoming a licensed Account Manager in Personal Lines Insurance. She then served as a Client Consultant, focusing on process improvement and collaborating with an offshore team in India. Now, Tia is excited to bring her analytical mindset and client-first approach to the financial planning world.

At Basepoint, Tia values the welcoming, team-driven culture and finds fulfillment in helping clients gain peace of mind. She believes in truly listening to others and taking a big-picture approach when solving problems.

Outside the office, Tia enjoys spending time with friends, reading, digital art, puzzles, and strategy games. A former florist, she also volunteers occasionally with Matthew 25. Her travel wish list includes Dublin and Seoul, and her favorite quote — “Everything will be okay in the end. If it’s not okay, it’s not the end.” — reflects her calm, optimistic outlook.
