Ryan Turner brings a unique perspective to the world of financial planning, rooted in his years as an educator, coach, and mentor. Before joining Basepoint Wealth, Ryan spent six years teaching high school social studies and coaching student-athletes in Maquoketa and Central City. He now brings that same passion for guiding others—along with his signature calm, thoughtful approach—to supporting clients on their financial journeys.

A native of Rockford, Iowa, Ryan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences with a political science emphasis from the University of Northern Iowa. As he pivots into wealth management, Ryan is eager to learn from Basepoint’s experienced advisory team and apply his natural teaching ability and care for others in a new setting.

Ryan believes that financial guidance, like education, is most effective when it’s grounded in trust, intentionality, and preparation. 

Outside the office, Ryan enjoys golfing and traveling—recent international adventures with his fiancée include Italy and Costa Rica, with hopes to visit Spain next. He also has a strong foundation in community involvement, having coached football, basketball, golf, and track throughout his teaching career, including three years as a varsity head basketball coach.

With a deep commitment to learning and service, Ryan is excited to grow in his role and help clients navigate life’s financial decisions with clarity and confidence.
