Katie Kula

Serving in the capacity of Basepoint's Chief Compliance Officer is multifaceted, fast paced and detailed. It is also a perfect fit for Katie who's leadership and organizational skills are second to none. Katie serves as one of Basepoint's founding partners.

Behind the scenes in Operations and Compliance, everything we do affects the client experience, and our goal is always to make it better. A motto Katie believes strongly in is "the little things matter". 

Katie grew up in Bertram and graduated from Washington High School in Cedar Rapids before attending the University of Northern Iowa majoring in History. She now makes her home in Marion, Iowa with their three young children. Spending quality time outside of the office with her family tops the list for her.

An accomplished and talented musician herself, Katie enjoys attending performing arts events with friends and family. You can also find her spinning her own yarn and crocheting, crafting, baking and gardening and being active outdoors. When she can, she enjoys venturing out on the water for time on her stand up paddle board.
