Kamryn Smith

Client Service Associate

Kamryn Smith brings a thoughtful, client-focused approach to her role at Basepoint Wealth, with a strong commitment to creating positive and meaningful experiences for every client she serves. She graduated from the University of Iowa in 2020 with a double major in Sport and Recreation Management and Journalism & Mass Communication. A native of Central City, Iowa, Kamryn has lived in Cedar Rapids since 2020 and enjoys being an active part of the community.

Prior to joining Basepoint Wealth, Kamryn worked as a Client Relations Manager at Northwestern Mutual, where she developed a strong foundation in client service and relationship management. She is drawn to Basepoint’s client-first, team-oriented culture and finds fulfillment in ensuring each client interaction is professional, welcoming, and memorable.

Outside of work, Kamryn enjoys reading, writing, and creative projects such as junk journaling and crafting clay art magnets. An enthusiastic traveler, she has visited seven countries and hopes to explore at least one new country each year. She also values giving back through volunteer work with the Cedar Rapids Public Library and the Cedar Valley Humane Society. At home, Kamryn enjoys spending time with her beloved cats, who are a big part of her daily life and bring joy, mischief, and companionship all wrapped into one.

Her favorite motto, “the purpose of life is to live,” reflects her belief that you don’t need a grand purpose to lead a meaningful life—finding happiness and fulfillment in small moments is what truly matters.
