Clint Richmond

When Clint is not hiking local & regional trails or scaling to reach the summits of some of our country's most beautiful mountain ranges, he is serving the internal needs of employees of Basepoint Wealth and Basepoint Tax. Joining our team in 2023, Clint is a seasoned HR professional with an open door, a motto of fairness and inclusion, and a forward thinking attitude. He states, "HR is an internal resource for employees, if employees are served well that manifests in a positive interaction with our clients." 

Born in Clinton, Iowa he resided in the Cedar Falls community for nearly two decades and moved to Marion, Iowa recently. He received his undergraduate and Masters in Business Administration with HR Emphasis from Upper Iowa University. Clint is an active volunteer for the American Red Cross and the Salvation Army. He is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys exploring as a hiker, rock climber and mountain climber. 

Clint has two challenging and exciting climbs in front of him, Mt. Elbert in Colorado at 14,440 feet elevation is the highest summit of the Rocky Mountains of North America, the highest point in the U.S. State of Colorado, and the second-highest summit in the contiguous United States after Mount Whitney.

In 2024, he will be tackling Mt. Kilimanjaro in the Region of Tanzania. It is the highest mountain in Africa and the highest single free-standing mountain above sea level in the world.
