Meet Sam Schildroth, our new associate wealth advisor at Basepoint Wealth. Hailing from the quaint town of Reinbeck, Iowa, Sam's journey into the financial realm began at the University of Iowa, where he earned his Bachelor of Business Administration with a focus on Finance, Risk Management, and Insurance. Before graduation from Iowa, Sam was a business growth and development intern with First MainStreet Insurance company in 2023. Sam joined Basepoint Wealth as an intern in May 2024.

At Basepoint Wealth, Sam finds fulfillment not only in the camaraderie of his colleagues but also in the opportunity to learn and grow. He wants to help empower clients on their financial journeys in the future. His desire for continuous learning has led him to set a goal of earning his CFA designation within the next five years. With a deep-rooted belief that financial literacy is key to alleviating stress, Sam draws from his upbringing, where open discussions about finances were encouraged. It's this ethos that drives him to share his knowledge and insights, making a tangible difference in the lives of those he advises in the future.

Outside of work and school, Sam finds solace in a variety of hobbies. Whether he is hitting the gym, experimenting with culinary creations in the kitchen, or dominating the pickleball court, Sam embraces life with enthusiasm. Travel designations he would like to experience include strolling down the famed Las Vegas Strip and visiting Mexico to immerse himself in the rich tapestry of Mexican food and culture.

Embodying the mantra that "money can be replaced, opportunities cannot," Sam approaches both his work and life with a sense of purpose and resilience. Inspired by Kristy Shen's "Quit Like a Millionaire," Sam recognizes the value of experiences over possessions, finding wisdom in the notion that the world offers boundless opportunities for those willing to explore.
